We set off for Copenhagen today for rehearsals with our new co-production with Mungo Park Arts Centre of Denmark. The arts centre was re-named after the Scottish explorer 10 years ago following the great success of the first play produced under the then new Artistic Director, Martin Lyngbo. The play was Mungo Park - Travels in the Interior of Africa, written by Martin and Thor Bjorn Krebs. Where Dogstar presented The Tailor of Inverness at Mungo Park AC in January 2013, Martin suggested the co-production, and now we will start to realise it. Our cast consists of a Polish Scot, a Dane and a Nigerian Londoner - Matthew Zajac, Anders Budde Christensen and Kingsley Amadi. Production Manager Sholto Bruce and Stage Manager John Speirs make up the British contingent for rehearsals, with Donna Macrae producing with her assistant Lara McDonald and Liz Smith carrying out Press Officer duties for Dogstar. We're lucky people - looking forward to Copenhagen in May !
